Porting Requirements (To Be Considered Before Porting Out Your Telus Phone Number)

There are a few requirements that you need to consider before you port Telus phone numbers to KrispCall. Some of the key things to consider are explained in detail below:

1. The Number Must be Active

The first thing that you need to ensure while porting your Telus phone number is to check whether your Telus phone number is active or not. Once you find out that your number is active then you can apply for porting.

If your number is inactive then contact your service provider and request them to activate it. Then, you can start the porting process.

Note: You mustn’t cancel your Telus service plan, and the number should be active during the entire porting process.

2. Device Should Be Unlocked

If your device is locked to the Telus network, you might need to have it unlocked before porting your number. Locked phones are restricted to Telus’ network and cannot be used with SIM cards from other carriers.

Therefore, make sure that your number is unlocked at any cost. If your phone is locked in the Telus network, reach out to Telus unlock mobile device support to see if it’s eligible for unlocking.
